AirUCI grad students awarded Ford Foundation fellowships

AirUCI graduate students Kristine Arquero (Finlayson-Pitts group) and Paige Aiona (Nizkorodov group) have been awarded 2014 Ford Foundation Pre-Doctoral Fellowships.  Only 60 such fellowships are awarded in all areas of sciences each year, and this is the first time chemistry graduate students have received this highly prestigious fellowship.  The award is given to students who "have demonstrated superior academic achievement, are committed to a career in teaching and research at the college or university level, show promise of future achievement as scholars and teachers, and are well prepared to use diversity as a resource for enriching the education of all students."  Way to go, Paige and Kristine!  Details
