AirUCI Participates in Future of Science Conference

UCI's California Science Project Center for Educational Partnerships will host its 30th annual Future of Science Conference for science teachers on Saturday, October 15, 2011.  The day-long event will be held in the courtyard adjacent to Rowland Hall and Reines Hall on the UCI campus.

Sergey Nizkorodov will lead AirUCI's participation, both as an exhibitor and more actively as his group will give a lab demonstration for teachers entitled, "Detecting Ethanol, Acetone, Isoprene, and Other Trace Gases in your Breath Using the World's Most Expensive Breathalyzer."

This conference is eagerly anticipated each year by science educators as a forum for discussion of recent science research and issues affecting science education in Southern California.  It is attended by about 200 science educators from pre-kindergarten through university level.  This year the conference theme is "Chemistry Across the Sciences".
