On Friday, April 8th, AirUCI will host a group of Advanced Placement chemistry students from Troy High School in Fullerton.  The group will view presentations about our research and tour the Finlayson-Pitts, Nizkorodov, and Saltzman labs.

On Tuesday, March 29th Prof. Miriam Freedman of Penn State University will give a lecture at 3.30 in Rowland Hall room 104.  The title of her talk is “The Structure of Atmospheric Particles & Impacts on Atmospheric Chemistry and Climate".

AirUCI PI Craig Murray is organizing the annual Informal Symposium on Kinetics and Photochemical Processes in the Atmosphere conference to be held at UCI on March 24, 2016 at the UCI Student Center.  Invited guests will speak, and talks and posters from our group will be presented by researchers of all levels — from graduate students to faculty.  For additional information and to register for this event, please visit the Murray Research Group ISKPPA page.

On Tuesday, March 22nd at 3.30 pm, Prof. Jesse Kroll of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) will give a talk, entitled "Oxidative aging of organic aerosol: kinetics, mechanism, and impacts".  The lecture will be held in Rowland Hall room 390.

Dr. Hajime Akimoto of the National Institute for Environmental Studies in Japan will give a talk entitled, "My Atmospheric Chemistry Research: Past and Present - Homage to Prof. James N. Pitts, Jr." on Monday, March 21st at noon in Natural Sciences 2, room 1201.

Dr. Armin Hansel of the University of Innsbruck and Ionicon will present a talk on January 29, 2016 at 3:00 pm in the Croul Hall main seminar room, sponsored jointly by UCI's Chemistry and Earth System Sciences departments.  There are two talk titles: Title 1: “Plant surface reactions: an ozone defense mechanism impacting atmospheric chemistry” Title 2: “The PTR3-TOF: an ultra-sensitive instrument reaching sub ppq levels"
