Irvine Schools Science Events 2023

Beginning in September, AirUCI researchers are volunteering to assist with science events for the Irvine Unified School District in the 2023-2024 school year.  For example, AirUCI grad student Jackson Ryan (Carlton group) has already signed up to assist with multiple events, which include:

• "Ask a Scientist" night on September 13th
• Science Fair Project Mentoring, held September through December
• 21st Century Career Conference on December 14th
• 41st annual IUSD Science Fair on December 11-15

Historically, AirUCI researchers and students have regularly participated in these events and the district knows we send well qualified volunteers, so they invite us every year.  This type of community service is an important part of AirUCI outreach efforts.  Volunteers can learn more and sign up at this link.
