Event Date:
Thursday, November 20, 2025

Manabu Shiraiwa's lab will be participating in the School of Physical Science's Laboratory Experiments and Activities in the Physical Sciences (LEAPS) outreach program on Thursday, November 20.  The LEAPS program provides a "Day at College" experience for local middle school students, giving them the opportunity "to increase their awareness and understanding of chemistry, physics, and the physical sciences."  As part of the program, Lena Gerritz, a graduate student in the Shiraiwa lab, will teach approximately 10 students about aerosols and volatile organic compounds using past field samples and mass spectrometry.
