On May 24, 2012 AirUCI will sponsor the high school awards dinner for the Orange County section of the American Chemical Society on campus, with keynote address by AirUCI's Barbara Finlayson-Pitts. On May 21, 2012, AirUCI researchers Scott Epstein, Jeff Ngarmboonta, and Sandra Blair will give presentations for Chemistry classes at Capistrano Valley High School in Mission Viejo, California.
On May 15th, 2012, Dr. Scott Epstein of AirUCI will give presentations on our research to students, staff, and parents at Buena Park Jr. High School's Science Night.

A ground-breaking article written by AirUCI researchers was published on February 21, 2012 in The Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. Our research shows that when low volatility gases condense to form particles, it's a one way street. Once in the particles, they don't evaporate out. These findings could significantly affect air pollution control strategies and prompt reevaluation of the models that inform air quality rules.

AirUCI PI Scott Samuelsen was honored with the 2011 White House Champions of Change Award and invited to hold a dialogue with key Administration leaders regarding the importance of fuel cell technology in enabling a transition to clean energy for the US market. He emphasized that this technology is key in creating thousands of jobs in manufacturing, installation, operation, and servicing in the fields of transportation and energy throughout the United States and around the world. We're so proud, Scott!
