AirUCI faculty Andrea De Vizcaya Ruiz is organizing a meeting on May 2nd with Prof. Emeritus Alvaro Osornio Vargas of the University of Alberta, Canada, to discuss our research related to the environmental impact and health in Madison Park and Santa Ana. AirUCI will host a visit from Dr. Ryan Reynolds of Lawrence Berkeley National Lab on April 30th. He will be visiting our labs, meeting with researchers, and will give a lecture at 2:00 in Rowland Hall room 390 entitled “Oxidizing Organic Aerosol at Tropospheric Temperatures: Kinetic Insights From (and Into!) Model Systems”.

AirUCI will host a tour of our labs by students from the ALMA Academy on April 27th. Operated by our partner organization, GREEN-MPNA, the ALMA Academy mentors students in STEM subjects. The students will see Chemistry and ESS labs on their tour and will hear presentations about research and opportunities for future educational paths.
